Abstract

|
Peutz-Jeghers syndrome has three cardinal features; gastrointestinal polyposis, mucocutaneous pigmentation and autosomal dominant inheritance. This syndrome is clinically important because of it's complications induced by the polyps, leading to
abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding and melena which often results in an operation.
We recently experienced a case of Peutz-Jeghers syndrome associated with intussusception and melena resulting in laparotomy.
